Dublin, August 27 (RHC)-- Protesters in the Irish capital, Dublin, have slammed U.S. complicity in the Israeli genocide in Gaza.  Campaigners gathered in Dublin City Center to hear facts about America's complicity in the genocide being spearheaded by Israel.

Betty Purcell, an author and television producer in Dublin, said: "They [the Israelis] are doing this with complete impunity and the support of the United States.  This year, the United States increased its military aid to Israel from 3 billion a year to 15 billion a year."

Protesters in the Irish capital also noted that thousands more Palestinians are on the brink of starving to death, if disease doesn't kill them first.

Other Irish protesters emphasized that Israel is nothing more than "Washington's regional puppet."   According to several activists, the Israeli regime is essentially a client of the United States.

Harry Browne, a lecturer and professor at Dublin Institute of Technology, told reporters: "Israel does for the United States what the United States doesn't have to do for itself in the Middle East."

Protesters gathered at th Dublin rally heard that the Israel lobby runs everything in the United States, including the two main political parties that rotate the presidency.

The Ireland Palestine Solidarity Campaign has organized hundreds of protests throughout Ireland in recent months, with hundreds more planned.  And the lobby group is encouraging activists from across the country and beyond, if possible, to take part in a national protest in the Irish capital on Saturday, August 31st.
