Caracas, September 9 (RHC)-- The Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America - People's Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP) has expressed its strong disagreement with the statement issued by the General Secretariat of the Organization of American States (OAS) regarding the departure of Edmundo González Urrutia from Venezuelan territory to Spain.

"You are ridiculous and the decadent role as an agent of imperialism that you fully fulfill.  You have already far surpassed the record of OAS hitmen (Secretary) General most devoted to Washington's orders and designs.  And it was a very difficult record to break for the colonial ministry [the Organization of American States]," added the executive secretary of ALBA-TCP, Jorge Arreaza, through social networks.

Arreaza responded, after the head of the OAS Luis Almagro said in a statement that the Venezuelan Executive forced the opposition leader Edmundo González into "exile."  These statements are issued, despite the fact that the Public Ministry reported that President Nicolás Maduro granted him a safe conduct so that he could voluntarily travel to Spain, a country that granted him asylum.

He stressed that since 2015, Edmundo Gonzalez' activity has consisted of challenging Venezuela's democracy and institutions, fomenting coups d'état, sanctions, military invasion, violence, destabilization, migration and death.

"However, I remember how at the time he flattered President Maduro and how he desperately sought out the Venezuelan delegation to give him support for his election.  He would tell us things like: ‘Tell MY COMRADE Nicolás that I need to talk to him.  I am an admirer and defender of the legacy of Commander Chavez.  I will not fail you. ’ Cynical and hypocritical!” he added.

Instead, he stressed that the advantage lies in the fact that Almagro has played an important role in the complete elimination of the legitimacy of the OAS.
