“We have the support of the peoples of the world in the fight we are waging against imperialism and fascism,” said Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro.

Caracas, September 10 (RHC)-- The Venezuelan head of state, Nicolás Maduro, said that the people “don't want sanctions; they want to return to work in peace.”   At the same time, he ratified his call for national dialogue and the fight against fascism.

“Hatred, violence, division, persecution of people for their ideas, way of thinking and being cannot proliferate here,” said the president on his television program Con Maduro +.

Along the same lines, the president asked the opposition forces that ignored the institutions of the Nation to respect the rules of the game and accept the election results. «We have played fair and we have won fair,» he emphasized.

Regarding the recent departure from the country to Spain carried out by the former presidential candidate, Edmundo González Urrutia, on Sunday, the president said he understood the decision taken.

"I tell Ambassador González Urrutia that I understand the step he has taken.  I respect it and I hope that he does well on his path and new life, and that he can be sure that his wishes for peace and harmony for the country will be fulfilled.  In Venezuela peace will reign above all else," said the Boliviarian leader.

Nicolas Maduro specified that Venezuela has to pass severe Antifascist Laws and praised the holding of the first World Antifascist Congress that will be held in the country on September 10 and 11.

He also applauded the fact that the National Assembly, together with the organized people, are discussing a law against fascism, as a way of blocking any form of this political expression in our national territory.
