Caracas, September 11 (RHC)-- During a plenary of the Federal Government Council, Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro denounced that the city of Madrid, Spain, has become the neo-fascist metropolis of Europe.

"Fascism has the political power to subdue, twist arms and keep Madrid as the neo-fascist metropolis of Europe," he stressed.  Maduro expressed his firm position in the face of political adversity and conspiracies.  He denounced the Spanish capital that shelters and protect individuals considered as terrorists, corrupt and fascists, who flee from Venezuela.

"(…) since the time of Franco, it has become what we might call the 'Inn of Fascism' in Europe and the world.  Today it has become the receptacle of all the terrorists, corrupt and fascists, who flee from Venezuela to Madrid."

President Maduro indicated that despite the pressures and challenges, his government stands firm in its convictions, rejecting any attempt at destabilization.

"There are mentally-ill people who participate in all the conspiracies to set bombs, kill, attack -- Leopoldo López, a sociopath known and recognized.  There is protection for the one who publicly, notoriously and admittedly, was responsible for the spraying of gasoline and killing a young boy in Altamira, in Chacao, Orlando Figuera."
