Caracas, September 14 (RHC)-- Through a statement, the Bolivarian Alliance of the Peoples of America-Free Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP) has warned the international community and Latin American states about a joint strategy by several fascist powers to overthrow peace in Colombia and the region.

In the official letter, ALBA-TCP, recalled that these actions cannot be seen as isolated events, “It would be extremely naive to believe that these events are isolated or unconnected cases.”

In the words of the Alliance, “Latin America and the Caribbean have been the victim of countless destabilization attempts, through continuous attacks on the institutional framework of several countries and direct threats against democratically elected popular and political leaders.”

For this same reason, ALBA stated that “since the first day of his administration, the oligarchy that has ruled Colombia for decades has tried to corner President Petro to prevent him from carrying out his sovereign and progressive governance project.”

Added to this, the Alliance assured that it will follow closely the denunciations of president Petro, besides trusting in the popular will and leadership of Gustavo Petro.

“The Bolivarian Alliance will continue to follow up on these serious allegations and is confident that the leadership of President Petro and the democratic vocation of the grassroots people of Colombia will succeed in defeating any threat to the peace and stability of this sister nation.”

ALBA-TCP also sued, “respect for the sovereignty and non-interference in the internal affairs of the Latin American and Caribbean peoples and the cessation of this new wave of coordinated actions to provoke political, economic and social destabilization in several countries of Our America.”
