United Nations, September 29 (RHC)-- The Venezuelan government has condemned “in the strongest terms” the recent attacks of the Zionist state against Lebanon’s capital Beirut, which killed 25 people, injured another 108, and especially protests the killing of Hezbollah’s Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah.

In a statement released by the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry, the South American country called “to world leaders to take immediate action to stop this dangerous terrorist escalation and reiterates to the Lebanese people our deep feelings of solidarity brother/sisterhood and human commitment in this difficult situation.”

Venezuela warns that Israel and the United States, “through false peace negotiations and deceitful and endless diplomatic maneuvers,” orchestrate and execute “macabre plans to assassinate, in parts and progressively, political leaders and entire populations,” initially in the Gaza Strip and the occupied West Bank and now spreading to Lebanon and threatening to spread to other countries in the Middle East.

In this regard, the statement makes clear that this new “bloody operation” disarmed in several towns of countries in the region continues to show the face of the barbarity committed by Israel and that it is a “cruel practice of murder at gunpoint,” carried out for decades, sharpened against the people of Palestine this past year and has spread to Lebanon recently.

“We denounce once again to the international community the extermination policy of Benjamin Netanyahu, the leader of 21st century terrorism in the Middle East,” who in his wild obsession and madness, continues the escalation against the Palestinian people.

The Venezuelan statement also emphasizes that the Palestinian “courageous resistance continues,” as well as the dangerous phase of war they have embarked on against the defenseless population of border countries.
