Anti-Israeli demonstrators stage a die-in protest outside Downing Street to show solidarity with Palestinians amid the continuation of Israel’s genocidal war in Gaza.

London, November 3 (RHC)-- Thousands of anti-Israeli protesters have held a rally in the British capital of London to protest Israel’s genocide against the people of Palestine as the regime’s military continues to pound the blockaded territory with more attacks.

On Saturday, the anniversary of the Balfour Declaration, a large crowd staged a die-in protest outside Downing Street, where the Prime Minister's Office is located, to commemorate more than 43,000 Palestinians who have been killed by Israel since October 2023.

The protesters then marched from Whitehall along the Thames River to the US embassy and shouted slogans such as "Free Palestine" in solidarity with Palestinians.  They carried Palestinian and Lebanese flags and held various signs to slam the British government’s complicity in the ongoing Israeli genocidal war in Gaza.

The demonstrators reiterated their calls for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, urging a total halt of arms shipment to Israel.   The protesters also condemned the Israeli regime’s killing of children, saying that they will neither forget nor forgive the atrocities.

The protesters called on international organizations, particularly the United Nations, to hold Israel accountable for its crimes.

In a post on its X account, the Palestine Solidarity Campaign, the leading organizer of the pro-Palestinian marches in the UK, said, "On the anniversary of the Balfour Declaration we are marching from Whitehall to the US Embassy, Israel’s main backer today, to demand an end to Britain’s historic and ongoing complicity in Israel’s genocide."

At least 43,314 Palestinians, mostly children and women, have been killed and 102,019 people wounded in the war that Israel began on October 7, 2023, following a retaliatory operation by the Palestinian territory’s resistance movements.

The brutal military onslaught enjoys unreserved military and political support from Israel's Western allies, including the United States.  In its brutal aggression, Israel has deliberately targeted buildings and tents sheltering displaced Palestinians and committed war crimes.
