Caracas, November 4 (RHC)-- The President of the National Assembly of Venezuela, Jorge Rodríguez, during the opening of the World Antifascist Parliamentary Forum held this Monday at the Caracas Convention Center, assured that fascism is the tool of “those who consider themselves the owners of the world.”

“Fascism is the strategy, the tool, that those who consider themselves the owners of the world, owners of a single way of living life, of seeing life, resort to in order to try to eliminate any form of rebellion, of rebelliousness, which is inherent to the human condition,” he said.

He also stressed that Venezuelans as people of peace “raise our voice against one of the worst plagues that today ravages all of humanity.  Fascism is not a political ideology, it is not a way of assuming social, political, and economic contradictions. Fascism is a crime.”

“In the name of fascism, the 20th century was stained with blood as one of the most violent centuries that humanity has ever experienced.  Millions of Europeans, hundreds of thousands of Asians, thousands of Americans died because of fascism,” he pointed out.

According to what the president of the National Assembly expressed, fascism is where false democracies show their true homicidal and genocidal instincts.

Fascism is a plan “where they take off the clothes of supposed democracies or take off their make-up and directly assume what they really are: homicidal, genocidal, murderers; people capable of extreme levels of violence,” said Rodriguez.

He also assured that it is an illness and a criminal expression of a social illness, where those who pay the consequences are the innocent populations.

Rodriguez said that fascism rises under “the hypocritical gaze” of those who do business with death and bombings, adding that “it is enough to see how the North American military industry has recovered,” having as a cost the thousands of Palestinians killed.

Continuing with the subject of Palestine, Jorge Rodriguez took the opportunity to reiterate solidarity with the Palestinian people in the face of Israel's genocidal aggressions.

“Every hospital bombed, every university and school destroyed, means blue numbers for the war men of the military industrial complex of the United States of America. So, those sent by the genocidal (Benjamin) Netanyahu are just as murderous as those who manufacture the bombers, bombs, missiles and planes with which the innocent civilian population in Palestine is bombed,” said Rodriguez.

During the World Antifascist Parliamentary Forum, more than 300 parliamentarians from more than 70 countries are addressing issues such as peaceful democracy, imperialism, fascism, Zionism, among others.

The forum will take place until this Wednesday, November 6.
