Caracas, November 5 (RHC)-- Jorge Rodríguez, president of the Venezuelan National Assembly, held a bilateral meeting with the vice president of the Parliamentary League of Al-QUDS and Palestine, Ahmed Kharshi, the secretary general of the League, Mohammad Makram Balawi, and the ambassador of Türkiye, Naci Aydan Karamanoglu.

Also present in the conference room of the Simon Bolivar Park Convention Center were parliamentarians from the Democratic Republic of Algeria, the first vice president of the Venezuelan National Assembly, Pedro Infante, and the second vice president, America Perez.

Monday afternoon, a bilateral meeting was also held between the president of the Venezuelan Parliament and representatives of Algeria, "to strengthen strategies to combat hateful actions against peoples who defend their sovereignty," according to VTV.

Also of note was the bilateral meeting between Jorge Rodriguez and his counterpart from the Arab Republic of Sarahaui, Hamma Salama, an action aimed at strengthening the ties of cooperation and brotherhood between both countries, as well as consolidating strategies against fascism, neo-fascism, and other similar expressions.

Regarding these meetings, it is worth mentioning that the governments of Venezuela and Algeria maintain important cooperation agreements to strengthen exchanges in areas such as the economy, health, trade, culture, science and agriculture.

Likewise, collaboration ties have been established in the area of ​​food preservation to promote the sovereignty of food items in the American country.  Recently, Executive Vice President Delcy Rodríguez completed a working visit to Algeria, in which, among other areas, strategic collaboration in energy matters was addressed.

The Venezuela-Algeria Parliamentary Friendship Group was installed on June 9, 2023 by the National Assembly of Venezuela, which aims to strengthen the relations of friendship, cooperation and solidarity between both parliaments, VTV highlighted.
