Seoul, November 17 (RHC)-- A rally has been held in the South Korean capital Seoul in solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza amid the US-Israeli genocide in the blockaded territory.

Many young people participated in the rally ahead of International Children's Day, November the 20th.

Even though he is only in grade five of elementary school Chen understands the harsh reality of Israeli atrocities and American complicity.

Chen told reporters: "We must condemn Israel, and when we condemn Israel, we must also condemn the United States, because the United States has been providing Israel with weapons and bombs and helps the regime slaughter innocent civilians, and therefore the United States is also a terrorist."

Supporters of Palestine were recently called in for questioning by South Korean prosecutors, just like pro-Palestine activists are targeted in Europe.

They all agreed that the facts of Israel's atrocities cannot be denied.  A recent report by a special committee of the United Nations, released on Thursday, puts on record what supporters of Palestinians have been stating for several months.

"Israel through its indiscriminate assaults and obstruction of aid is "using starvation as a weapon of war, imposing collective punishment on the Palestinian people".

Pro-Palestine groups rallied in five cities across South Korea on Saturday and Sunday, demanding Israel to immediately stop the genocide in Gaza Strip.

Palestinians have been resisting Israeli occupation for the past 76 years and suffering genocide for over a year.  These demonstrations around the world will make Palestinians understand they are not alone, and we are together in fighting for the human rights of the Palestinian people.
