Caracas, November 27 (RHC)-- The First Vice President of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, called for a Great Caravan in the country's capitals on Sunday, December 1st, within the framework of the programming of Christmas festivities for the year 2024, promoted by President Nicolás Maduro.
"A great caravan with comparsas, with parties, sound, trucks, cultural expressions from the different states," Cabello said at the press conference of the National Directorate of the political organization.
Likewise, the Vice President of Politics, Citizen Security and Peace expressed that this deployment action in the capital cities of Venezuela "is going to be an extraordinary thing." In this context, it is an event that will be supported by cultural, sports and leisure events. There will be performances by musicians and cultural figures from all the states of the Bolivarian country.
In relation to this, Cabello explained that the purpose of this proposal is for the comparsas to begin their journey from the Petare wall to the statue of José Martí on Francisco de Miranda Avenue. "That is going to be a beauty. Let's imagine the trucks, the motorcyclists, the stilt walkers, the musical groups on top, the trucks, the music, the joy," he said.
He reported that the Great Caravan will have stations along and across the avenue, "where people can stop and witness the passage of all the cultural expressions. Culture takes over Caracas, because the Ministry of Culture accompanies us in this task to give strength to the governorates, the mayors."
The Venezuelan leader also mentioned that there will be another tour, from Catia to the Miraflores Palace: "Caracas taken by joy, zero bitterness; the bitter ones will have to see these expressions from afar; if they want to join, they join, they are welcome so that they know how to live with joy."
So, in addition to the Great Caravan on December 1, this programming of Christmas events for 2024, which the first vice president of the PSUV announced, a defense exercise will be carried out throughout the country starting on Saturday, November 30.
In relation to this, he mentioned the activation of the Popular Units for Peace (UPAZ), with the aim of avoiding any attack from the extreme right, whether internal or external.
Then, on December 1st, the usual Christmas masses will begin nationwide. These religious events will be held with the support of Venezuelan families.
