Caracas, November 27 (RHC)-- Venezuelan Foreign Minister Yván Gil states that fascism is a tool used by imperialism to continue its domination over workers, in the same way, he pointed to socialism as the only way to extinguish horror.
The Foreign Minister of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Yvan Gil, installed this Wednesday in Caracas the International Antifascist Promotion Committee ¡Por un Nuevo Mundo!, an occasion in which he rejected fascism and denounced that it is an ideology at the service of imperialism, used to try to extend the domination of peoples and the theft of their resources.
At the event, where more than a thousand delegates from almost 70 countries participated, Gil stressed that this international is not only anti-fascist but also anti-colonialist, anti-imperialist and anti-capitalist.
“The world is at one of its greatest crossroads, the survival of the human being in freedom,” he said. The Venezuelan foreign minister said that fascism is a tool used by imperialism to prolong its domination over workers. He asserted that socialism is the only way to extinguish horror.
He emphasized that fascism contributes to the attempt to prolong this domination to try to monopolize the natural resources of countries and exploit man for the benefit of a few. “We must also be clear that colonialism was the cause of all the evils of our people,” Yván Gil declared.
“Fascism was almost defeated in 1945 and it blended in with the bourgeoisies and oligarchies of the time, re-emerging with force to dominate the people,” said the Foreign Minister.
Referring to Latin America, he said that Javier Milei, president of Argentina, claims to have fascist attitudes and shows it with pride. According to Gil, the Argentine's actions are supported by fascist media controlled by the elites.
These same media, according to Gil, praise racism, machismo and xenophobia, being equally fascist and hateful expressions. Venezuela, for its part, seeks to advance in condemning and guaranteeing the social mobilization of the world's workers to combat fascism, colonialism and imperialism.
Venezuela's top diplomat described Israel's aggression against Gaza, perpetrated under the tutelage of world powers, such as the G7, the European Union and the United States, as a “Nazi genocide.”
And Yván Gil also described Ukraine as a regime reminiscent of Nazism and considered it shameful that the United States supports that nation.
"The international community is the vanguard of the vanguard against fascism," said the foreign minister, pointing out the way forward for a better world free of colonialism and hatred.
“It will be a long struggle, but it will be a beautiful struggle, because it is for justice, for peace and for the human being,” concluded Yvan Gil.
