Caracas, November 29 (RHC)-- The president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, has announced the creation of the high decoration of the Republic, which will bear the name of Victoria de Ayacucho, and will be imposed on the officials who were attacked today with the sanctions approved by the U.S. Department of the Treasury.

During the commemoration of the 104th Anniversary of the Bolivarian Military Aviation, the president denounced:  "Today, the decadent government of the United States took out what they call sanctions against a group of eminent men of our country.  Popular leaders, writers, literary figures, political leaders, against a group of military and police leaders to hit the popular-military-police union.”

In this sense, he ordered the creation of the Victory of Ayacucho decoration in honor of the 200 years of this historical event, and to grant it to each of the Venezuelans who were attacked.

“If the issue of aggression through the so-called sanctions were not so serious, I would say that what they have done is laughable and ridiculous, but I am not going to do it, because I know that these political, military and police leaders are eminent professionals,” he said.

In this sense, he affirmed that he will exchange “the ridiculous sanctions of the empire for our decoration of victory, 200 years ago, and we shout to the empire with great force: Chavez Lives!”

The Venezuelan president also specified that Venezuela will follow a path of independence, building its own political, social, economic, military model.  "We will not be slaves of anyone.  With this baton of command I have the collective responsibility of guaranteeing present and future victories.”

He also thanked the members of the Bolivarian Military Aviation for continuing to fly in the sky, after 20 years of sanctions and persecution of F16 planes by the United States.

And Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro called for coherence between Bolivarian military thought, daily transformative action and results to move forward, and specified that this is how each battle and victory should be raised.
