Caracas, November 29 (RHC)-- The Executive Vice President of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, said this Thursday that the extremist right is obsessed with the political destabilization of the country with the purpose of handing Western powers control the energy reserves of the South American nation.
"That sector wants to put those reserves in the hands of international financial capital," declared vice president before representatives of the academic community.
She said that political sector recently launched a criminal attack against a gas installation. She pointed out that the recovery of the service was possible thanks to the work of 800 PDVSA workers.
Delcy Rodriguez said that it was a sensitive blow, aimed at affecting a basic service to generate unrest and cause difficulties for the economy. "This minority group seeks to do harm without considering the impact."
The Venezuelan leadeer insisted that what is behind everything is the control of energy resources. It is an anti-Venezuela project, it does not have a nationalist character. The objective is, behind the backs of the Venezuelan people, to put these resources in the hands of these powers, which are behind the destabilization with the use of the extremist right.
There are 11 detainees and there are confessions about how they did it. The country will soon know all the details, she said.
She recalled that the University of Hydrocarbons was created by Commander Hugo Chávez and that President Nicolás Maduro wants to give it a boost to develop and diversify oil production, the sovereign use of energy resources and the training of specialists.
The aim is to harmonize academic profiles based on national needs, as well as to clearly identify priorities in educational, scientific and technological matters for the development of hydrocarbons and mining.
Another purpose is to certify the knowledge of industry workers and expand it through courses and various training options. No less important is the projection of educational offers for young people, said Delcy Rodriguez. They must be offers that are related to the development of Venezuela in this field.
Due to its immense reserves, our country will have an oil industry for many years and it is important to distinguish the best application of its potential and its use with a sovereign character and in a sustainable and harmonious way with the environment, he said.
The Venezuelan vice president insisted that at a global level the BRICS group has already emerged as an economic and political actor of high incidence, with more influence than the G7, which he considered a group in decline.
She said that in the future there will be greater demand for energy in Asia and Africa, not in the north, not in the U.S., not in Europe, he said.
Venezuela will have a leading role and what we are doing is of a strategic nature, said Delcy Rodriguez, who stated that the defense of the Essequibo is also very important.
