Caracas, January 11 (RHC)-- The extreme opposition fugitive from justice, María Corina Machado, acknowledged in a message published on her social networks the failure of the destabilizing plan for former presidential candidate Edmundo González Urrutia to mount a false parallel swearing-in.
"Edmundo will come to Venezuela to be sworn in as constitutional president of Venezuela at the right time, when the conditions are right," said María Corina Machado after the defeated candidate in the last presidential elections was received by the White House and heads of state subject to Washington's foreign policy and promised the international press that he would be sworn in as "president" this Friday.
González Urrutia left Venezuela for political asylum after signing a letter of recognition of the electoral results and all state institutions, despite which last month he decided to resume the international destabilizing campaign against the democratic government of Venezuela.
According to María Corina Machado, the decision to suspend the parallel swearing-in was due to the decision of the Venezuelan authorities to close the airspace. "I have asked him not to do so because his integrity is fundamental for the final defeat of the regime and the transition to democracy that is very close," said the fugitive in a video with a white wall in the background.
She acknowledges that she was not kidnapped on Thursday -- as it was previously reported on the social networks -- after being present at a small opposition rally and trying to return to her hiding place aboard high-cylinder motorcycles.
