Caracas, January 12 (RHC)-- With a call to progressive forces from all continents to articulate themselves in the struggle against fascism, to transform the planet into a world of peace and emancipation, the International Antifascist World Festival For a New World concluded this Saturday in the Venezuelan capital, Caracas.

The constitutional president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, who was sworn in as head of the Bolivarian State on Friday for the period 2025-2031, spoke at the closing of the event with the more than 2,000 participants from 125 nations, among which a large Cuban delegation made up of representatives of different sectors stood out, Prensa Latina reported.

The president assured the world that the land of Bolívar and Chávez "is at peace, in democracy, in full exercise of national sovereignty, and the people, advancing in this new stage."

The social and political forces present at the great event meant that Venezuela has been a beacon in the global struggle against fascism, imperialism, colonialism, Zionism and all forms of exploitation and hegemonies, while playing a central role in the articulation of international initiatives.

They also proposed to carry out concrete actions this year, such as continuing to advance in the organization and consolidation of chapters of the Antifascist International in each of our countries, regions and continents to articulate the struggles against fascism from the territories.

The creation of a global platform is planned, under the accompaniment of an Executive Secretariat of the Antifascist International, according to a resolution approved within the framework of the multitudinous festival.

They also agreed to launch the "think tank" -- called the Caracas Forum -- to establish spaces for strategic analysis and anti-fascist praxis in each country, region and continent, for which they proposed a large world meeting in the first half of 2025.
