Caracas, January 27 (RHC)-- The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Venezuela, Yván Gil, denounced this Sunday that the embassy in La Paz, Bolivia suffered an attack and thanked the authorities of that country for their quick response to find the perpetrators of that crime.

“We appreciate the swift action of the Government of the Plurinational State of Bolivia, which has deployed an impeccable operation to find the fascist elements that have treacherously attacked our Embassy in La Paz,” the foreign minister said in a message posted on his Telegram channel.

He stressed that “the intolerance of the extreme right, frustrated and immersed in its own failures, has unsuccessfully tried to damage the facilities of the Bolivarian homeland.”

“Once again they fail as they did here,” said the head of Venezuelan diplomacy.

Bolivian authorities said that unknown persons fired several shots at the Venezuelan embassy in the morning hours of this Sunday, which damaged some elements of the facade.

Bolivian Foreign Minister Celinda Sosa stated in a message on social media X that “investigations are being carried out by the corresponding authorities.”  “From the Government of the Plurinational State of Bolivia we strongly repudiate these acts of vandalism that violate the rights and immunities of Venezuelan diplomats,” Sosa said.
