Caracas, January 28 (RHC)-- Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro has called on the countries of the left and progressivism to unite for Latin American integration in the face of the operation of the extreme right in Latin America.
It is the moment when “the left and progressivism in their diversity row together towards the same objective of productive union of integration for the future of the continent,” the president stressed while asserting that the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) must be saved.
“Those of us who believe in the union of Latin America and the Caribbean have to act in accordance with that task” by creating strategies, mutual investments in active trade, cultural, educational, scientific, maritime, and land integration, the president acknowledged.
By acknowledging that “there is an operation by the extremist right: Nayib Bukele, Daniel Noboa, Javier Milei, among other leaders, to self-destruct us. “They want to do with CELAC the same as with UNASUR,” said Maduro.
“If respect for sovereignty and internal affairs is imposed as a principle, and the great need to confront the geopolitical threats that the continent has today is imposed,” added the Venezuelan leader.
"Brazil has to be the great superpower of justice, freedom, independence, just like Argentina recovered in the idea of Juan and Eva Perón and Néstor Kirchner. We are building our model: to be an intermediate power with our natural resources and the culture of our people."
Regarding diplomatic relations with Brazil, the Venezuelan president stressed that “there has not been a crisis with Brazil, nor will there be a crisis. There are differences with the foreign ministries,” a difference of criteria, but our foreign minister has fluid communication with Foreign Minister Mauro Vieira, Maduro stressed.
He also called for prioritizing relations between both countries: cooperation, brotherhood, while recognizing the number of Brazilian investors.
We are destined to understand each other through Latin America, he asserted. “The obligation of President Lula and President Nicolás Maduro is to understand each other through our countries.”
“We must turn the page and see the new scenario of world geopolitics, the situation of Our America and prioritize relations between Brazil and Venezuela,” he indicated.
