Cabello made public confessions of a close collaborator of María Corina Machado, who revealed that the representative of the far right promotes abstention during the legislative and regional elections of the 27th, as well as the "lynching" of any opposition leader who wishes to participate in this democratic process.
Caracas, February 13 (RHC)-- The Secretary General of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, denounced this Wednesday the existence of a communication plan by the representative of the extremist right, María Corina Machado, to sabotage the legislative and regional elections of next April 27th.
During the transmission of the program "Con el Mazo Dando," the Bolivarian leader made public confessions from a close collaborator of MCM, his community manager, which illustrate that said plan also seeks to "lynch" through the media any opposition politician who decides to participate in that electoral process.
He revealed that the spokesperson of "Vente Venezuela" is worried about the warnings made to her by the current U.S. administration. According to her revelations, a representative of the State Department reprimanded her for promoting abstention.
According to the community manager, the White House will not continue to support "the laziness of the Venezuelan opposition" and told MCM to infiltrate the electoral process. Otherwise, they told her that she should prepare to leave Venezuela in the next few weeks. They added that she must seek political asylum in a European country or in the Southern Cone, because due to geopolitical interests she would not be received in U.S. territory.
The legislative and regional elections will be held on April 27th, when the 277 assembly members who will make up Parliament and the regional governors and legislative councils will be elected.
For the first time, a governor will be elected for Guayana Esequiba. Days ago, Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro proposed to also hold the Second National Consultation on April 27, so that the people can choose their projects and the Communal Power can be strengthened.
At the end of January, a sector of the Venezuelan opposition, in favor of dialogue and not of the fascist violence promoted by MCM and Edmundo González, announced that it will participate in the 2025 electoral processes.
During this year, numerous democratic processes will take place in Venezuela, including a constitutional referendum, the aforementioned elections of the National Assembly, the election of governors, regional legislative councils, mayors and municipal councils, and six consultations of the Communal Power.
The call for the elections of 27A also deepened the differences between leaders of the right. The day before, the opposition Henrique Capriles said that he will not support abstention, which motivated him to be reprimanded by a jurist close to MCM and Vente Venezuela.
