In the face of increasing U.S. hostilities, the Bolivarian Government ratified its commitment to peace, stability and a multicentric and pluripolar world

Havana, February 14 (RHC)-- Venezuela has categorically repudiated the false and reckless statements of the commander of the Southern Command, Alvin Holsey, during his recent appearance before the U.S. Senate in Washington, DC.

The note from the Bolivarian Government indicated that the statements “lack foundation and repeat the same misleading narrative,” bought by the administration of Joe Biden, with which the Venezuelan extreme right has defrauded them, using millions of dollars from the contributions of American citizens.

The statement added that the accusations of drug trafficking, corruption and destabilization are nothing more than fake news and dirty war campaigns of the past, which have already proven to be unsuccessful.

They also seek to justify their own mistakes, the complicity and corruption that has led them to the situation that extremists in Venezuela face today, also trying to cover up the real illicit trafficking networks in the region, whose routes are widely known by the Southern Command.

The statement stressed that Venezuela faces drug trafficking “with a sovereign and responsible model, firmly combating a problem whose roots are found outside its borders.”

The Bolivarian Republic rejected the disqualifications of U.S. military organizations, such as the Southern Command, which have “a history of interventionism and colonialist attitudes.”

In the official note, the Bolivarian government reaffirmed its commitment to peace, stability and a multi-centered and multi-polar world, and urged U.S. political sectors to abandon the rhetoric of confrontation and respect the self-determination of peoples.
