ALBA-TCP reviews sectoral plans with ministers of the regional bloc in Venezuela

Caracas, March 9 (RHC)-- The executive secretary of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America – People's Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP), Jorge Arreaza, held a meeting with the ministers of Transport, Agriculture, Science, Technology, Foreign Trade and Fisheries of the bloc, within the framework of the guidelines established during the presidential summit of the regional mechanism held in Caracas, Venezuela.

The information was released by Arreaza through his Telegram account, where he detailed that fundamental issues such as international trade, air and sea transport, as well as science and technology projects in the field of artificial intelligence have been discussed.  This meeting took place at the Casa Amarilla "Antonio José de Sucre", located at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Venezuelan capital.

The main purpose of this meeting was to evaluate the programs that promote collaboration in the area. Additionally, the Venezuelan Foreign Minister, Yván Gil, was present, who detailed that the debate was held on the promotion of intra-ALBA trade and the AgroAlba Project, created to consolidate the food sovereignty of the alliance.

On February 3, the XII Extraordinary Summit of state leaders and prime ministers of ALBA-TCP took place, with the aim of adopting the agenda of struggle and work for 2025, in favor of sovereignty and peace.  During the conclave, the president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, highlighted the protection of communities.

Thus, ALBA-TCP continues to demonstrate its dedication to the integration and well-being of Latin American communities. In addition, with the solid objective of progressing towards equitable and sustainable development in the region.
