Caracas, March 22 (RHC)-- Venezuelan Foreign Minister Yván Gil has published a video showing Venezuelan far-right leader María Corina Machado mocking the families of Venezuelans deported from the United States and imprisoned in El Salvador.
"This is the true thinking of the Venezuelan far-right regarding Venezuelan migrants and human rights," the Venezuelan Foreign Minister rebuked, showing the video, which sadly captures the far-right leader's stateless and mocking behavior. Yván Gil highlighted the prevailing extremist thinking in certain political sectors of the country.
Venezuela's top diplomat also stated that María Corina Machado supports "the nefarious plan designed by the neo-fascist international," which led to the kidnapping and criminalization of hundreds of Venezuelan migrants in the prisons of Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele.
Foreign Minister Gil indicated that these actions occur without regard for the suffering of the affected families, in addition to disregarding those Venezuelans who previously offered their support.
Throughout the video, Yván Gil emphasized that this type of behavior is representative of "pitiyanquismo" (a "Pitiyanquismo"), a movement that, in his opinion, undermines respect for human rights and the dignity of migrants.
Finally, the Venezuelan foreign minister emphasized the need to raise awareness about the reality faced by Venezuelan migrants in the current context.
