Quito, April 18 (RHC)-- Three days after the second round of elections, the presidential candidate for the Citizens' Revolution movement, Luisa González, reappeared to denounce the discovery of new evidence regarding irregularities in the vote count in the last election.

In a video on the social media platform X, Luisa González warned about multiple versions of tally sheets that were modified by the National Electoral Council (CNE) once they were uploaded to the system, altering not only the chain of custody but also the final result.

González reported that they have 1,984 tally sheets without joint signatures from the Voting Board (JRV) authorities, which would violate Article 127 of the Code of Democracy and should be invalidated.

Candidate González also pointed out that there are 1,526 tally sheets whose total does not match the number of voters, which, in the opinion of the politician, should also be annulled by the CNE.

She revealed that they have 1,582 tally sheets whose results deviate from the average for their respective polling stations, which would indicate the possible entry of additional tally sheets at those polling stations.

Luisa González commented that an unusual decrease in blank votes was recorded, which would raise doubts about the possible direct manipulation of more than 150,000 ballots.

González stated that the majority of the Polling Stations failed to comply with the protocol requiring the registration of voter turnout and added that an artificial decrease in absenteeism was evident; in other words, there were more votes than voters.

In the video, González thanked her voters for "a project that was built on the legitimate union of left and right."  She maintained that the electoral campaign was "plagued by irregularities" and began with the fact that President Daniel Noboa campaigned without a license to seek reelection.

She also blamed the Ecuadorian president for the "takeover of electoral institutions that illegally allowed the government's indiscriminate use of public resources for an open campaign."

The candidate referred to the delivery of "million-dollar bonds without technical analysis as a populist strategy to buy votes, which today puts dollarization at risk."

Luisa González questioned the "last-minute changes to polling stations and states of emergency."

Finally, the Citizen Revolution candidate announced that the new findings will be challenged and contested before the competent authorities and lamented that they are under the control of those in power.
