Ramallah, April 18 (RHC)-- Israeli forces have killed at least two Palestinian teenagers as they expanded their deadly raids across the occupied West Bank.

The official Palestinian news agency WAFA, citing the Palestinian General Authority for Civil Affairs, reported that Israeli forces stormed the town of Osarin, located 16 kilometers (9 miles) southeast of Nablus, late on Thursday, sparking confrontations with local residents.

Local sources said two Palestinian teenagers, identified as 17-year-old Jihad Adham Edeili and Saif Ghassan Edeili, 19, were fatally shot as Israeli troops heavily fired live bullets. The occupation forces subsequently withheld their bodies.

The Director of the Emergency and Ambulance Center of the Palestinian Red Crescent in Nablus, Amid Ahmad, said a 20-year-old Palestinian sustained a gunshot wound to the knee, and was treated by emergency teams at the scene.

Hundreds of illegal Israeli settlers have stormed the al-Aqsa Mosque compound in the occupied East al-Quds to mark the third day of the Jewish Passover holiday.

The Israeli military asserted in a statement that its soldiers opened fire at three Palestinians who “hurled rocks towards vehicles on the highway” in the West Bank.

Since the beginning of the war on Gaza in October 2023, more than 950 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli troops and settlers, and over 7,000 others have been injured in the West Bank.

Last July, the International Court of Justice (ICJ) declared that Israel’s long-standing occupation of Palestinian territories is illegal, demanding the evacuation of all settlements in the West Bank and East al-Quds.
