Havana, April 29 (RHC)-- Israel has killed more than 18,000 children and 12,400 women in Gaza since October 2023, representing 65 percent of the total death toll, Palestinian officials reported today.

The Government Media Office in Gaza accused Israel of wiping out more than 2,180 families and leaving another 5,000 with only one member left.

During the war campaign, the IDF killed more than 1,400 health workers and 113 members of the Civil Defense while carrying out their humanitarian duties.   Israeli military forces have also killed 212 journalists and more than 750 workers involved in the distribution of humanitarian aid.

The list of victims includes more than 13,000 students, 800 teachers and staff in the sector, and more than 150 scientists, academics, university professors, and researchers, it emphasized.

The Office strongly condemned Israel's policy of deliberately attacking, killing, and exterminating civilians directly.

The facts and documentation on the ground reveal the lies, falsifications, and scandals that Israel tries to avoid and with which it seeks to deceive international public opinion, it warned.

The Government Media Office also held Israel responsible "for the genocide and war crimes committed against civilians in the Gaza Strip."

The countries that support it and participate in this aggression, whether through military or political support or by covering up its crimes, also bear legal and moral responsibility, such as the United States, Germany, Great Britain, and France, it stated.

In this regard, he criticized the sale of weapons and ammunition to Israel, as well as the political cover-up, which, he considered, "constitutes explicit complicity in the commission of crimes."
