Paris, December 5 (RHC)-- French people have lost their trust in the ruling Socialist Party following consecutive corruption cases, according to reports from Paris. Media sources say that prevalent corruption in President Francois Hollande's cabinet has provoked great dissatisfaction in the French society.

In the latest case in a string of corruption scandals in Hollande's administration, an advisor to the French president stepped down on Wednesday following allegations of financial corruption. Faouzi Lamdaoui, Hollande's advisor for equal opportunities and diversity, resigned after being summoned to a criminal court in Paris over financial allegations.

He is accused of involvement in misusing a transport company's assets, forgery and money laundering from 2007 to 2008, said the Paris prosecutor's office. Lamdaoui served as Hollande's chief of staff during his 2012 presidential campaign.

Hollande is under fire for having failed to redeem his presidential campaign promise of launching an administration of unimpeachable morals. Several of his ministers and advisors have been forced to step down so far following financial scandals and wrongdoings.
