Ilo, January 21 (RHC-Andina) -- Peru’s President Ollanta Humala attended on Tuesday a commemorating ceremony marking the first year of territorial incorporation to national maritime domain.
The event was held at the Ilo sea. Ilo is a port located in the Moquegua region. The ceremony took place 60 miles away from the coastal area.
The Head of State sailed in the B.A.P. Tacna joined by Defense minister Pedro Cateriano; and Foreign Affairs minister, Gonzalo Gutierrez. They were also accompanied by Peru Navy Commander General, Edmundo Deville.
Aboard the vessel, Humala saluted and delivered a speech to the Navy personnel. Afterwards, he also delivered a wreath. Finally, an aerial inspection to the Peruvian maritime zone was conducted.
