Caracas, March 4 (teleSUR-RHC)-- The Real Venezuela Expo, designed to counter the misconceptions about Venezuela put forward by hostile media outlets, will tour various cities in the United States this year, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro announced on Tuesday.

The expo just finished a successful run in Madrid, Spain, including the participation of several Spanish companies which stated their support for the policies of the government of Nicolas Maduro.

Venezuelan Ambassador to Spain Mario Isea Bohorquez said the Expo served to show that Venezuela “is a country that loves peace, is deeply democratic, with successful policies, with social investment and a deep cultural change that can be seen in (the delivery) of essential public goods, in the social missions, in the access to rights that Venezuelans didn't have before.”

President Maduro made the announcement during his weekly television show, saying the Expo would travel throughout the U.S. “so that the people of the United States can go visit the Real Venezuela expo and see the truth about Venezuela, because we also love the people of the United States.”

The Real Venezuela Expo will feature exhibits demonstrating the achievements made in the social, political, economic, cultural, scientific and technological fields during the last 15 years of the Bolivarian Revolution. The Expo will also host a series of seminars and screenings of Venezuelan films.

The Expo also has a sample voting machine used in Venezuelan elections, which numerous international bodies have lauded as among the most transparent in the world.
