Caracas, March 10 (teleSUR-RHC)-- The Venezuelan government has recalled its U.S. Chargé d'Affaires for consultation in response to Washington's statement that the South American nation poses a “national threat.”
“We have called back immediately Maximilien Arvelaiz, Chargé d'Affaires in the United States,” tweeted Foreign Minister Delcy Rodriguez. The foreign minister said the Venezuelan government will soon announce its official response regarding the President Barack Obama's measure.
Venezuela and the United States have not exchanged ambassadors since 2009.
