Caracas, June 3 (RHC)-- Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro revealed the identity of the presumed mastermind of the assassination of young socialist deputy Róbert Serra in October, last year.
Speaking on his regular television program 'En contacto con Maduro', the Venezuelan head of state identified former Cúcuta councillor Julio Vélez González as the person who ordered and paid for Serra's assassination.
Maduro said that during the course of the investigation, those implicated in the case identified Vélez González, a close ally of former Colombian President and current Senator Álvaro Uribe, as the mastermind of the attack.
