Buenos Aires, June 20 (teleSUR-RHC)-- Argentinian Interior Minister Florencio Randazzo withdrew his name from the list of candidates in the ruling party's 2015 presidential race, leaving Buenos Aires provincial Governor Daniel Scioli as the only candidate.

Randazzo had planned to run against Governor Scioli in the August 9th presidential primaries, but is rumored to have stepped down after current President Cristina Fernandez effectively endorsed Governor Scioli as her potential successor.

The Victory Front Party (FpV) presidential ticket is set to be headed by Governor Scioli along with Vice Presidential running mate Carlos Zannini, who currently serves as the Legal Secretary to the presidency. All Presidential candidates are required to list a running mate by June 20, when they register for the August primary.

Despite the recent announcement, Randazzo issued a statement approving the recent decision to take only one Victory Front (FpV) ticket to the August primaries. “Make no mistake. I support all of Cristina’s decisions. She leads this project and I will remain part of this project,” Randazzo said in his Twitter account.
