Mayadeen, June 23 (RHC)-- ISIL Takfiri terrorists have hung two teenage boys in Syria for eating during daylight hours during the holy fasting month of Ramadan, a monitoring group says. According to residents of the village of Mayadeen in the eastern Deir Ezzor province, the terrorists hung the two young boys, both under 18, from a crossbar near a Takfiri police headquarters, the so-called the Syrian Observatory of Human Rights said on Monday.

"The children have been suspended by ropes from a pole since noon, and they were still there in the late evening," AFP quoted the head of the UK-based group, Rami Abdel Rahman, as saying. Placards reading "They broke the fast with no religious justification," were placed upon the adolescents' bodies, Abdel Rahman added.

Deir Ezzor fell into ISIL's hands last year when the militant group overran large swathes of land in Iraq and Syria. Based on reports, since Kurdish fighters retook the strategic northern border town of Tal Abyad from ISIL militants last week, the Takfiri group has beefed up its severe crackdown on those who disobey the Takfiri rulings, blaming the defeat on the sins committed by the residents.

Earlier in the day, the Iraqi Ministry of Human Rights announced that 26 people were executed on charges of cooperation with security forces and spying on ISIL in the northern Kirkuk and Nineveh provinces.

According to a statement released by the ministry, one person was put to death in Kirkuk and 25 people were executed by firing squad in Nineveh.
