Havana, June 30 (RHC)-- The World Health Organization (WHO) has confirmed a new Ebola case in Liberia, which had been officially declared free of the disease in May.
WHO officials said in Geneva that the new case was a deceased man, who was submitted to different tests to detect the presence of the deadly virus.
The Liberian government has sent an experts team to the State of Margibi, where the victim lived, to investigate the possible re-emergence of the disease.
Liberia is the only out of the three ebola-stricken West African countries that was considered free of the disease.
