Caracas, June 30 (RHC)-- Members countries of the Energy Cooperation Alliance Petrocaribe signed several accords in Caracas toward strengthening economic integration and regional sovereignty.

At the 15th Meeting of Petrocaribe's Ministerial Council, representatives of the 19 member states agreed to diversify production and trade exchanges toward boosting the countries' economic and social growth.

During the event, participants highlighted the importance of achieving energy security and sovereignty through the implementation of eco-friendly startegies. They agreed to hold an extraordinary meeting of Petrocaribe in Jamaica in September to explore and identify new cooperation areas.
