United Nations, July 11 (RHC)-- The number of Syrian refugees fleeing the turmoil in their home country has topped four million. The United Nations said more than 24,000 people crossed into Turkey from Syria last month alone. Within Syria, an estimated 7.6 million people have been displaced.
António Guterres, U.N. high commissioner for refugees, said: "This is the biggest refugee population from a single conflict in a generation."
