Castries, July 16 (EFE-RHC)-- Representatives of the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States met on Wednesday in St. Lucia for a symposium to develop a common agenda ahead of the 21st United Nations Climate Change Conference, or COP21, in Paris.

Besides government officials, the one-day conference included representatives of NGOs, the tourism industry and other stakeholder groups, the St. Lucia government said in a statement.
The first OECS climate change symposium was organized with an eye on the COP21 summit, set for November 30th through December 11th in the French capital.

OECS comprises Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, Grenada, St. Lucia, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Vincent and the Grenadines and Montserrat, with Martinique, Anguilla and the British Virgin Islands as associate members.
