Baghdad, July 25, (RHC), – The Islamic State terrorist group has abducted more than 180 children in the Iraqi city of Mosul over the past few days, an Iraqi Kurdish official says.

Saeed Mamou-zini, a senior official from the Kurdistan’s Democrat Party (KDP), said on Saturday that the children, aged between 10 and 15, have been transferred to the IS military camps in the city of Mosul to receive training.

Latest figures show the militant group has abducted about 1,500 children since capturing the city over a year ago.

The Islamist group uses children in both Syria and Iraq to carry out terrorist attacks and executions.
