Caracas, September 3 (PL-RHC)-- The Presidents of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, and Russia, Vladimir Putin, ratified the will of their governments to strengthen ties and advance in joint projects.

After participating in the ceremony for the 70th anniversary of China's victory over fascism, the two leaders held a meeting to strengthen bilateral ties, reported the Venezuelan Ministry of Communication and Information (MINCI).

Before the meeting, Maduro indicated he will seek along with Putin strategies to stabilize the oil market to overcome the losses of the two economies caused by the reduction in prices.

For his part, the Russian head of state expressed satisfaction with the possibility of developing tighter relations with Venezuela. In 2014, our trade was reduced significantly, but this year it has grown already by more than 25 percent, he said.

According to the MINCI, cooperation between Venezuela and Russia responds to a deep strategic relationship that allowed achieving more than 250 agreements.

Both countries implement projects for housing construction, education, technical-military development and the oil industry.
