San Salvador, December 26 (RHC-teleSUR), -- El Salvador officials said Thursday they “lament” a recent United States plan to raid the homes of undocumented immigrants in the country and deport them—a measure which may be implemented as soon as January according to leaked reports. The deportations are expected to affect mostly undocumented migrants from what's known as the Central American Triangle—El Salvador, Honduras and Guatemala—after thousands have tried to enter the country in the past years, fleeing situations of violence, poverty and drought in their home countries.
