Havana, January 14 (RHC)-- Colombia's peace negotiations continue in Havana, involving delegations from the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia-People's Army (FARC-EP) and the government of President Juan Manuel Santos.

The aim is to achieve a lasting accord that puts a definitive end to the over 50-year old armed conflict in the South American country. However, FARC negotiator Joaquín Gómez has termed as 'unlikely' the signing of a final peace accord on or before the agreed deadline of March 23rd.

Gómez said the two sides are working hard and non-stop, but insisted that there are objective factors, which will certainly slow down the negotiations.
