Bogotá, February 4 (RHC)-- Colombia's former president Alvaro Uribe had a rare meeting with one of his fiercest critics, human rights advocate Piedad Cordoba, media outlets reported Thursday.
The progressive human rights defender and the ultra right-wing former politician spoke about the country's ongoing peace process, according to Colombian newspaper El Espectador.
“We talked, and we agreed to talk about peace again (in the future),” Cordoba told local broadcaster Blu Radio.
Cordoba said talks with right-wing figures like Uribe are “very important,” despite the former president leaving office more than five years ago.
