Mexico City, Mar 1 (RHC) Mexico's Secretary for Agriculture, livestock Rural Development, Fishing and Nutrition, Jose Calzada, assumed the leadership of the 34th Regional Conference of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) on Tuesday.
Calzada was elected with the unanimous vote of 30 higher officials and delegates to the FAO Regional Conference for Latin America and the Caribbean.
Mexican sources said the forum will discuss, among other subjects, the quality of nutrition, natural resources and health, to issue public policies helping boost better living standards for the rural sector.
