Havana, Mar 24 (RHC-PL) On the World's Day against Tuberculosis, the World Health Organization called on the governments and communities to joint in bringing this disease to an end.
The goal of the warning is to foster dialogue and collaboration to eradicate the pandemic with the strategy 'End Tuberculosis' that the World Health Assembly approved, to reduce mortality by 90 percent and wipe out the disease by 2030.
Tuberculosis is caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis, and hurts the lungs, and is transmitted people-to-people through the air when a sick person coughs, sneezes or talks near a healthy person, but its is curable and preventable.
