Islamic State Kills 2,200 Civilians, 426 of Its Own Fighters in 20 Months

Damascus, March 29 (RHC)-- The London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has confirmed the full extent of the terror inflicted on Syrians by the Islamic State group.

The London-based NGO said on Monday that the Islamic State group has killed approximately 2,200 civilians, since the end of June 2014 when it declared its so-called caliphate of Iraq and Syria.

Data provided by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights revealed that in the past 20 months, the terrorist group has murdered some 2,197 civilians, including 83 children and 125 women by shooting, beheading, stoning, throwing off buildings and burning, in the Syrian provinces of Damascus, Rif Dimashq, Deir Ezzor, Raqqa, al- Hasakah, Aleppo, Homs, Hama and others.

The NGO also revealed that the Islamic State group’s savagery doesn’t stop at civilians. It added that the Islamists executed 426 of its own militants for “exceeding the limits in religion and spying for foreign countries.”
