Havana, August 3 (RHC)-- China promotes the development of biotechnology with the construction of the Biotechnology Cooperation Industrial Zone in the province of Jilin, with Cuba's assistance.
Local government authorities and representatives of Cuba’s BioCubaFarma Enterprise Group voiced a common interest in defining joint actions as part of this, which both sides consider 'a strategic alliance.'
Since 2003, Jilin has housed the Changchun Heber Biological Technology Center -a China-Cuba joint venture, the main objective of which is the manufacture of biotechnology products.
The construction of the Cuba-China Biotechnology Cooperation Industrial Zone in Jilin is the result of a framework agreement signed last May by authorities from the two countries.
