Pinar del Río, August 4 (RHC)-- For the fourth consecutive year, the Hermanos Saíz Cultural Association (AHS) will celebrate Fidel's birthday in Pinar del Río on August 13th with a series of activities featuring the work of young artists in Cuba's westernmost province.

The event, which takes place annually in the municipality of San Juan y Martínez, is scheduled this year from August 11 through the 13, coinciding with the 59th anniversary of the murders of young rebels, brothers Sergio and Luis Saíz –- after which the cultural association is named.

Commemorative activities will begin on August 11th at the Hermanos Saíz Museum with poetry readings, book sales, music and stage performances.

On August 13th, the people of Pinar del Río will pay a tribute to the Saíz Brothers at the monument erected in their memory. Also on the 13th, the neighborhood of Bolívar, in the municipality of Sandino, will host an event to celebrate Fidel's 90th birthday.
