Havana, September 17 (RHC)-- Cuban Parliament President Esteban Lazo received the President of the German Bundesrat, Stanislaw Tillich, who is paying an official visit to the country.

During the exchange, the two dignitaries reviewed the state of bilateral relations and prospects for expanded and strengthened cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

The president of the Cuban parliament praised Germany's growing cooperation ties with Cuba. He noted that several official delegations from the European country have visited Cuba recently, bringing in German executives of such sectors as science, business, industry, education and culture.

On Friday, the President of the German Bundesrat attended the opening of a business forum here in Havana with the participation of German and Cuban entrepreneurs.
