Miami, November 1 (RHC)-- The Miami-based Alianza Martiana Coalition has called for a car caravan this coming Saturday, November 5th, to demand the immediate repeal of Washington's nearly six decades-old blockade policy toward Cuba.
A statement issued by organizers of the protest action described as 'exceptional' Cuba's victory last week at the UN General Assembly, but stressed that solidarity organizations in Miami will continue to rally against the blockade for as long as that cruel, genocidal policy remains in place.
The solidarity activists said that they hope the U.S. abstention vote at the UN General Assembly be a positive sign, and not a new maneuver in Washington's long history of dirty warfare against the Cuban people.
The car caravan has a precedent in similar activities of previous months and years, in support of Cuban causes.
