Tokyo, January 24 (RHC)-- The Japanese Minister for Disaster Management and National Recovery, Keiji Furuya, described as successful his recent visit to Cuba, and said he was deeply impressed by the high social development witnessed in Havana.
Furuya, who presides over the National Public Safety Commission and the Japan-Cuba Friendship Parliamentary League, made the remarks about his stay in the Caribbean island during a meeting with Cuban ambassador Marcos Rodriguez in Tokyo.
During his stay in Cuba, the minister, first of the current Japanese cabinet to travel to Havana, met with First Vice President Miguel Diaz-Canel, National Assembly President (Parliament) Esteban Lazo, and Council of Ministers vice president Ricardo Cabrisas and other officials.
