Havana, January 28 (RHC) – Jamaican Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller held talks Monday with Cuban President Raul Castro.
The two met in the context of the 2nd Summit of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States this week in the Cuban capital.
According to a statement from Simpson Miller’s office, the meeting discussed “regional issues,” including the planned CARICOM/Cuba Summit. A Cuban statement said the two sides also addressed issues including sport, construction and health, among others.
Simpson Miller, who began a four-day visit to Cuba on Sunday, was one of a host of regional leaders in Havana for CELAC summit, which is being accompanied by several side meetings and conferences.
